At BrightStar Care®, we can meet your loved one’s needs ranging from senior caregiving services to skilled nursing. The main categories of care we offer include:
If your loved one is struggling with a chronic illness, mobility issues, or the challenges of aging, home care could offer the support they need. Many people prefer to "age in place," surrounded by familiar comforts. In-home care provides personalized assistance while promoting independence. Explore the signs and services to decide if it's the right fit.
Starting a conversation about home care can be challenging, but it's essential to address your loved one's needs early. Everyone adjusts to change differently, so approach the topic with understanding. It’s important to start exploring your loved one’s wishes before it becomes an urgent need. This can happen through normal conversations with your loved ones, as well as talking with family members who should be involved with decisions like this.
If you’ve decided that you or a loved one need help at home, there are multiple ways to bring in a home care provider, including hiring them directly, choosing from a registry or working with a home care agency. There are benefits and drawbacks to all approaches, so it’s important to determine which one provides the best “fit” for your loved one’s needs and will give your family peace of mind.
You might have plenty of time to create a home care plan – or you might suddenly need a caregiver or nurse to care for your loved one. Having early conversations about the possible need for elderly home care before it becomes an urgent matter can help reduce the likelihood of a future family conflict. Although there is often an emphasis on the changing relationship between a family caregiver and their aging or ailing loved one, it’s important to be attentive to other family relationships as well.
When you choose BrightStar Care®, you choose a well-trained team that is dedicated to patient-centered care ranging from personal and companion care to specialized dementia care and skilled nursing services. We know that being in familiar surroundings provides your family member with a sense of independence and dignity – while also receiving the right care for their needs with a compassionate caregiver looking out for their health and safety. Our dedication to quality through Joint Commission accreditation and registered nurse involvement every step of the way gives families peace of mind that their loved ones are experiencing the best care possible.

Brightstar provided exceptional care for my sister in January and February 2023. From the first contact, they were professional and efficient, sending out someone to the hospital to do the assessment immediately. They found a caregiver to start the very day after my sister was discharged from the hospital into hospice. Our caregiver, Daniela, was always on time and happy to help with any and all support tasks. My sister was bedbound and Daniela helped with all the activities needed to make someone in the last stages of life comfortable. She made great suggestions based on her caregiving experience to make the care provided more effective. She not only provided medical support but was also a compassionate presence for both me and my sister through the last weeks of her life.

Amazing care takers. Lisa Kearns-Adams is our night aide and she is remarkable. So kind and full of good suggestions. Treats my husband like family. We would be lost without her.

It was an uneasy feeling leaving my mom in the care of folks we didn't know and she didn't know but the caregivers have been so helpful, patient and willing to work around the clock to be sure mom wasn't navigating recovery and confusion alone. I've been so relieved knowing Bright Star was there! When your jobs dictate rigorous timeframes and full time care is unexpectedly needed, Bright Star goes to work and eases the anxiousness with gentle professionalism and prompt response. What a great company and staff to work with!
